Pioneer Animated Crime Fighting TV Show – M.A.S.K. –

M.A.S.K. animated TV series was one of the awesome cartoon tv show in the 80s (being in top 5), enjoy success and popularity not only in the small screen but also in comics and in toy merchandise. Mobile Armored Strike Kommand (M.A.S.K.), with the tagline “Illusion is the ultimate weapon”, was considered to be a hybrid from recent popular cartoons G.I. Joe and The Transformers, with the shows transforming vehicles and good characters fighting criminal organization. A 30 minutes cartoon show with simple storylines and plots (plus not the same characters in every episodes), very entertaining and fun to watch.

Multi-millionaire Matt Trakker investigates and uncovers the mysterious disappearance of his beloved wife, he discovered the activities of a criminal organization called VENOM (Vicious Evil Network Of Mayhem) of the maniacal leader General Miles Mayhem. Matt formed a group of Special Ops heroes with, just like him, possesses extraordinary talents and skills: Matt's adopted son with a great mechanical skills Scott, mechanical engineer/design specialist Bruce Sato, computer/communication expert & zoologist Alex Sector, auto/marine stunt driver & demolition expert Dusty Hayes, champion racer & kung fu black-belter Gloria Baker, helicopter/motorcycle & hill climber expert Brad Turner, weapon specialist and tactic strategist Hondo MacLean, master of disguise & intelligence expert Buddie “Clutch” Hawks, construction & demolition specialist Calhoun Burns, a language cryptography expert, etc., they all wear masks, operate super hot tricked, state-of-the-art transforming battle vehicles and primary mission to destroy evil VENOM forces.

M.A.S.K. animated tv series was aired from September 1985 lasted until November 1986 with total of 2 seasons and 75 episodes, now full seasons 1 and 2 available on DVD.
