70s to 80s long-running and award-winning family drama series Little House of the Prairie was based on 1935 autobiographical
books title Little House (also known as “Laura Years”) written by Laura Ingalls Wilder tackling her own decades-old memories in her childhood in the Midwest region of US during late 19th century.

The predominantly drama with comedic scenes, follows the frontier lives of couple Charles and Caroline Ingalls with their three daughters namely Mary, Laura, Carrie and Grace and later adopted Albert, James and Cassandra, living in their simple farming lifestyle in small town and friendly community of Walnut Groove, beginning in 1870s up to Laura's future in late 1800s. Prairie living was often difficult, facing many challenges from Indians, weather to loneliness, life was at times very harsh, rules could be strict but life is precious.
Little House of the Prairie completed 10 seasons with 208 hour-long episodes aired from September 1974 to March 1983 on NBC.
